The HVAC Series program provides several "views" that can be used to configure your Takeoff window to suit your preferences. If you select View in the menu bar, you will notice that there are five types of view bar: the Picture Bar, Option Bar, Menu Bar, Note Bar, and Snapshot Bar. These bars can be turned on or off in the View menu on the menu bar.
AUDIT TRAIL:Shows every item taken off, rectangular and non-rectangular, in the order in which they were taken off. The Audit Trail is very similar to the Maintenance view in the editing that can be performed and its functionality; however, there are some differences.
PICTURE BAR:Shows a picture of the currently selected item (if available).
OPTIONS BAR: Takeoff options, which include Pipe Insulation, Size, Quantity, etc.
Note: Selecting Apply To Selected Items while right-clicking on an individual option will apply it only to selected Takeoff Items. Meanwhile, right-clicking on an option group header and selecting Apply To Selected Items will apply the entire grouping of options.
MENU BAR:The takeoff keys.
NOTE BAR: When this option is activated, you can enter in and save notes regarding Takeoff.
SNAPSHOT BAR: Allows you to save a combination of items, or “snapshots.” For more information, see Snapshots.
STATUS BAR: Displays the status bar, which is found at the very bottom of the screen and displays various information, such as the current Dataset you are in and the current menu you are using. For information on configuring the Status Bar, see Status Bar Options.
