Shape Recognition Options
The Shape Recognition options are accessed by clicking
on Options on the bottom of the
Shape Recognition Count Worksheet window.
Reload Image:
This option will reload the image used for the Count Worksheet.
Using this option will clear any object highlights on the Count
Worksheet
Match Parameters:
These options allow you to adjust how exact Shape Recognition is
when it searches for Matches using the Find
Matches function.
More:
Match parameters are the difference in value of
the score of the objects being compared. If the difference is
less, it is considered a match (outlined in green) or similar (outlined
in red). You can either enable, disable, and adjust each individual
tolerance group in order to get the desired result.
Blob Fill Match
Tolerance: This parameter deals with the % of black to
white pixels in a given object. The greater the %, the more
black pixels are allowed in the object being evaluated when compared
to the original shape.
Blob Point Match
Tolerance: This parameter sets the tolerance more the
number of pixels in a line of the evaluated object. The greater
the tolerance, the less exact the line pixel number has to be for
an exact match to the original shape.
Centroid Match Tolerance:
This parameter controls how
far apart (in pixels)the average horizontal and vertical centers of
the evaluated object can be from the original shape, after they are
compared.
Note: These
settings will need to be re-adjusted whenever the size and/or resolution
of the drawing or the size of the objects are changed.
Search Parameters: This option opens the Search
Parameters window, which allows you to specify the characteristics
of the objects you wish Shape Recognition to find.
Stop
Processing: This option will stop Shape Recognition if it
is in the process of searching for objects. This is useful if the
program is taking too long to process a large image or you wish to cancel
the operation.
