DEFAULT TO REDUCED SIZE: When taking off items, the Size options are set based on the item you take off. This option will determine if the Size of the item will change and to which Size (based on the specific item, for example: the size of air entering vs. air exiting).
Note: The “Off” setting does not behave the same way as it did in the Net Series Takeoff. Now, the “Inlet” option updates the options with the first size of the item. The “Off” setting now disables reduce sizing: no sizes will be updated.
TAKEOFF MODE:This allows you to select between “Detailed” and “Quick.” Detailed allows you to takeoff an item normally. Quick mode allows you to takeoff an item without prompting the add/edit item window if you have the information needed for that item.
Note: If you are running Quick mode and you do not have all of the required information, you will be prompted at the appropriate time for whatever information is missing.
SINGLE LINE TAKEOFF: If checked, Single Line Takeoff is turned on.
HVAC has separate SLT options for Rectangular (Fabrication), Round (Fabrication), Oval (Fabrication), and NonFab (Non-Fabricated) items. This allows you to set up what keys and calculation methods are used for each of these four types separately.
Note: The non-fabricated options are used for performing Singe Line Takeoff on all non-fabricated items from your databook, including Mechanical items.
FITTING:The type of fitting.
KEY: The key that will be associated with the fitting.
SHIFTED:Whether the key is in the shifted menu or unshifted menu.
CALCULATION METHOD: Which method of calculation will be used. There are two choices:RadiusandSquare.
Note: All of the keys must be filled in correctly for single line takeoff to run.
SNAP ANGLES:
These options are used with Single Line Takeoff to set the angles used
to determine the 90 or 45 degree elbow. Use the mouse to click the
and enter the values you want.
DEDUCT OPTIONS:This allows you to set the default settings for
the deduct options. Use and
select the options you want for Transition, Tee, and Y-Branch/Cross.
NONFAB DEFAULTS: This
allows you to set the values for the non-fabricated default settings.
Select and enter the values you want as the defaults
for the 90 degree elbow throat, the 45 degree elbow throat, the reducer
length, the tee throat, and the cross throat.
When you are finished making changes, select OK. If you do not want the changes that were made to be saved, select CANCEL.
Note: The drop-down list under Manage Levels By can be used to select a Level Type to use when managing options (instead of a Section).
