These are general instructions for modifying a Summary file. For general information about manipulating the display of the SFM detailed columns and item selection methods, see the File topic of the Estimating Help. SFM functions are described in SFM Functions.
The sub-sections below explain how to edit and delete items and how to produce a Summary report to meet your requirements. The examples given are when only a single Summary file is opened. All of the procedures can be performed when more than one Summary file is open (see the File topic in the Estimating Help for how to display more than one Summary).
When you close a Summary file after making changes (select File | Close or Exit), the program prompts Save Changes to Estimate:nnSummary:nn description? Answer YES to save the changes; select NO if you decide to leave the Summary unchanged.
