Creating Screen View Layouts

The screen layout configuration possibilities vary from plug-in to plug-in. In some plug-ins, the only screen view options you may have are the appearance of the grid (column headings, column widths, the order of the column headings). Other plug-ins, however, have more layout possibilities such as a split main window (additional layout possibilities are discussed in the specific plug-in reference), searching methods, printing options, etc. These additional screen view possibilities are discussed in the specific plug-in reference.

As you work with the Estimation Desktop plug-ins, you will find that you like to have only some column headings shown, columns in a certain order, or specific groupings.

When you have created a layout that you will want to use often, make sure you save it using the instructions in Saving Screen View Layouts.
