The Users options are accessed by selecting File > Maintenance > Users.
Notes:
|
The Users option window controls who can log in to the program, by enabling password and access rights to be set up. The Add User, Edit User, and Delete User functions are used to maintain the users allowed access to the program. Once user permissions are set up here, they can be selected in the Login Password page (see Login Password), allowing you to control exactly who has access to this program.
Displays a window
where you can enter a user's initials (used in, for example, Materials
Management when masking out a purchase order number), name, company location,
e-mail address, Terminal Number (ETerm), and the security privileges (User
Group) to which that user is assigned. A password can also be assigned
to a user.
The program is delivered with five choices for User Group: Supervisor, Manager, Estimator, User, and New User (others can be added in User Groups; see User Groups). The access rights available to each are determined by the Supervisor.
Note: Once User Groups are set, only a user with "Supervisor" rights will be able to set up and change users. The Users tab will not even appear in Options for users set up as something other than "Supervisor.”
The Alias tab allows you to enter an alias name for the user. Select the Alias tab and select Add. From there, enter the Alias you want for the user. If you want to edit an Alias, highlight the Alias you want to edit with the mouse and select Edit.
The Job Membership tab allows you to select who has permission to view the, edit, or both view and edit a particular group of jobs. Simply check or uncheck the boxes by a job name to set the permissions.
The “E-mail” field allows you to enter in an email address for the user.

the current user is associated with. To change the associated
User Group, click on the and

only Supervisor, then the User Group can not be changed.

you to edit the initials, name, location, e-mail, User Group, Terminal
Number (ETerm), and password for the selected user. Displays the same
window as for Add User.
Multi-User Note: A User record that is shown in red is locked out. This means it is being edited by someone else on the system. User records cannot be edited by more than one person at a time. This status is updated automatically every 10 seconds.
Deletes
the selected user. A window will display prompting you to confirm the
deletion.
