There is no limit to the number of items that can be included in this database. The Estimating database is created by importing items from an Estimating program or from another source such as Harrison TIP Book. Once the Items file is created, you can then add, delete, and edit items to customize it to meet your requirements.
The first step is to import items. See Importing Items into Local Databook.
Once items are imported, you can perform searches to display items. See Searching for Items. You can also edit items by following the instructions in Editing Items.
The “Buy List,” located toward the bottom of the main window, is used for the temporary storage of items you want quoted or ordered using the Materials Management plug-in. See Buy List. Once items are chosen in Materials Management, the Buy List is cleared. It is also cleared upon exiting Estimating.
