The Electrical Series program provides several "views" that can
be used to configure your Takeoff window to suit your preferences. The
Views menu
is accessed by clicking once with the secondary mouse button in a Takeoff
display section.
MAINTENANCE: Takeoff File Maintenance.
OPTIONS: Takeoff options, which include Quantity, Formula, Multiplier, Size, etc.
Note: Selecting Apply To Selected Items while right-clicking on an individual option will apply it only to selected Takeoff Items. Meanwhile, right-clicking on an option group header and selecting Apply To Selected Items will apply the entire grouping of options.
PICTURE: Shows a picture of the currently selected item (if available).
SKETCH: If the Esti-Sketch plug-in is installed on your system, this option will be available as a Takeoff view. The Esti-Sketch plug-in is for use with a digitizer to graphically show items and assemblies as they are taken off, in reference to the job's blueprints.
SPECIALS: Displays the Specials file. Specials can also be edited from this display. See the Specials For more information.
Note: Specials can be taken off from this view by using Copy/Paste or drag/drop from the Specials view to the Maintenance view.
TAKEOFF MENU: Displays Takeoff keys that can be used to takeoff items.
BLANK: Plain grey display.
STATUS BAR: Displays the status bar, which is found at the very bottom of the screen and displays various information, such as the current Dataset you are in and the current menu you are using. For information on configuring the Status Bar, see Status Bar Options.
Note: If you want to increase the screen's refresh rate, decrease the number of views and "close up" any blank views.
