Update Estimate Pricing File

This Edit selection allows you to update the prices and/or pricing codes in the Estimate Pricing File, as you make changes here in SFM. This only updates items for which new Units (Material or Labor) have been entered (an amount shown in blue in the SFM window). Items for which you have selected other pricing methods (e.g., Skip, Manual, or Quote) or have edited using the Material or Labor editing selections are not updated in the Estimate Pricing File. Remember, only items that show a Material Unit or Labor Unit value in blue will be updated in the Estimate Pricing File.

First, select the items in the Summary file for which you want prices, units, or codes updated in the Estimate Pricing File. Select or Edit > Update Estimate Pricing File. The Update Estimate Prices window displays.

When marked, the item's Material Unit or Labor Unit as set in Summary will be copied to the same Estimate Pricing File field.

If you have changed any of the pricing codes for the selected items, you can mark the appropriate check box for the Estimate Pricing File to be updated with the new codes.

If “Update Edited values only” is checked, only the items that have been edited by the user will be updated, instead of the entire Pricing File.

When you have selected the unit type(s) you want updated, [OK] to proceed (if you [Cancel] the Estimate Pricing File is not updated). The Estimate Pricing File is updated and the SFM window returns.
