Save Data (DSM)
The Save Data selection from the File menu saves the current Job (and all of its related files) to the diskette/directory of your choice.
Save Data (
) lets you
choose either a data set to save.

- Make sure the data you want to save is shown as active at the Main Menu.
- When you select Save Data from the File pull-down menu, the Save Data Set window displays.
- The program automatically selects drive Desktop as the default and creates a default filename using the name of the Dataset. You can either accept these defaults or select another drive and enter a different filename. The files will be "zipped" (compressed) to conserve space on the destination drive/directory.
- When you have entered the proper information, press OK to save the files (go to step 5). If you decide not to save the files, press Cancel.
- If the program finds the same filename on the destination drive/diskette, it prompts This file already exists. Replace existing file? If you answer Yes, continue to step 6; No returns the program to step 3 (enter another filename); Cancel aborts the Save process.
- If you pressed OK or Yes to proceed with the Save process, after a short wait, a progress box displays, showing the percentage of Save process completion.
- When the Save process is complete, the Main Menu returns.
