Voice Prompts

Certain prompts, input actions, and status actions in Takeoff are available as vocal prompts or notifications. This means that whenever the program reaches a point where it is prompting for an entry, a response is being made (e.g., Yes or No), or a status has changed (e.g., activating Deduct or changing the Material Factor), a voice will prompt you (as well as the visual prompt) or coincide with your entry. When you select Voice Prompts from the Options menu, the Voice Prompt Options window displays. The default is Voice Prompts disabled (Enable Voice Prompts unmarked).

If you choose to enable Voice Prompts, mark Enable Voice Prompts at the top of the window. Then, mark those prompts, input, and status options that you want active. Select OK to save your settings and return to Takeoff. If you select Cancel any changes you made are not saved; the program returns to Takeoff.

If your computer does not have a sound card, you will not be able to hear the voice prompts.
