Editing Levels
NOTE – All of the menu selections and tool bar buttons are standard throughout File Maintenance. See the File topic of the Estimation Desktop Help for explanations.
You can add or edit a Level here. To add or edit a Level, highlight its line first. Then, there are several ways to access the editing display:
- Select Edit > Edit
- Right-click the mouse and select Edit Item.
The Level Edit window displays.
LEVEL: The Level number assigned to the open Level.
ID: Abbreviated ID number.
DESCRIPTION: The full description of the ID.
COMMENT: Here, you can enter any further information about the Level Type. Comments can be viewed in the grid by displaying the Comments column (see Customizing Columns in the Databook topic).
MULTIPLIER: Multiplies the level with whatever value is entered here.
LEVEL FACTORS: Allows you to edit the following level factors: Material, Field, Shop, UserDef1, and Linear Ft.

If you are adding a Level, the Edit field is blank when first accessed.

The other menu and Edit selections (Undo, Cut, Copy, Paste, etc.) are covered in the File topic in the Estimating Help. Certain Edit selections (namely Edit, Copy, Paste, and Delete) can also be accessed by clicking the secondary mouse button (right button for right-handed users; left button for left-handed users) once on a highlighted item. This displays an Edit menu.
