Setting up Bid Components
Here's how you should set-up
your bid components the first time:
- Set-up Bid Templates and enter the descriptions
for all the components you want in Data
Files > Bid Template.
- Print the Bid Template. The report shows you
the bid components you have entered with their reference numbers.
- Enter the appropriate reference numbers, operations,
and rates for your bid components.
- Print the Bid Template to make sure all the
bid components are the way you want them.
- Escape to the Main Menu and select Estimates > New
Estimate, and then add a new Estimate. You need to add
a new Estimate so the program will set it up using the Bid Templates
you just set-up.
- Return to the Main Menu. Select the new Estimate,
then select Estimates
> Estimate File Maintenance > Bid Template. Make
any Estimate-specific changes to the bid components.
- Print the Estimate Bid Template. Review it
to make sure it is set-up the way you want.
