Create a New Sheet using Custom Views

Once you have added and scaled a sheet, you can create customized views of portions of that sheet to be used as references during takeoff. You can also save a section of the view as a new sheet.

To create a New Sheet from a customized view:

  1. Switch into Takeoff Mode if you are not there already.
  2. Click the Custom Views tab from the Takeoff Tools Panel.
  3. Click Start Capture and then hold down the right mouse button and drag the mouse, making a square around the area you wish to capture for your new sheet.
  4. When finished, release the mouse to complete your selection.
  5. Give your new sheet a name by typing it in the Enter View Name field.
  6. Click Add Sheet to save the view as a new sheet.

Your new sheet is now your active sheet.

You can create a new sheet from a sheet that already has annotations, but the annotations are NOT copied into the new sheet.
