The Summary Options selection from the Estimate Files menu lets you pre-set options for the current Estimate's Summary; these options are for the current Estimate only. In Data Files, the Summary Options can be set as standard settings for all Estimates (when a Estimate is created these settings will be the defaults). The Summary options include Report Type, Pricing, Adjustments, and more.
Whether you set the options in Data Files for all Estimates or in Estimate Files for the current Estimate only, this will save you the time of having to change the options each time you enter Summary.
Note: When an Estimate is added, the Summary Options settings in Data Files are automatically transferred to the Estimate. Any changes you make to the file in Estimate Files are to that Estimate's Summary Options only.
