There are various aspects of items which can’t be converted - for instance the number of BTUs (British Thermal Unit) or CFMs (Cubic Feet per Minute) that a piece of equipment may have. Sizes is a place to create a list of these aspects that can later be used in Databook.
The Sizes file has a capacity of 12,000 sizes that can be used for sizing in the Item file (see Databook). There are three types of sizes: Single Sizes, Two Sizes, and Special Sizes.
There can be up to 144 Single Sizes, occupying sequence numbers 1 through 144. The maximum number of Two Sizes is 480; sequence numbers 145 through 624 are reserved for Two Sizes. There can be up to 8,376 Special Sizes, occupying sequence numbers 625 through 9,000 (These are sizes that do not apply to either Single Sizes or Two Sizes. These may include Triple Sizes or words you may use to describe an item such as its color). The View pull-down menu contains selections for the three types of sizes, each of which takes you to the first sequence number of the size type (e.g., Single Sizes displays sequence number 1; Two Sizes displays sequence number 145; Special Sizes displays sequence number 625).
