Here's how you should set-up your bid components the first time:
Set-up Bid Templates and enter the descriptions for all the components you want in Data Files > Bid Template.
Print the Bid Template. The report shows you the bid components you have entered with their reference numbers.
Enter the appropriate reference numbers, operations, and rates for your bid components.
Print the Bid Template to make sure all the bid components are the way you want them.
Escape to the Main Menu and select Estimates > New Estimate, and then add a new Estimate. You need to add a new Estimate so the program will set it up using the Bid Templates you just set-up.
Return to the Main Menu. Select the new Estimate, then select Estimates > Estimate File Maintenance > Bid Template. Make any Estimate-specific changes to the bid components.
Print the Estimate Bid Template. Review it to make sure it is set-up the way you want.
