Sections allows you to create default names for your sections in a database. These default names will be carried over into an Estimate on creation. You can define up to 50 section descriptions to be used in Takeoff. Each time you add an Estimate the program copies the section descriptions in the data files to that Estimate. You can then modify the Sections of that Estimate in either Takeoff or Summary. The master Section descriptions can only be changed here in Data Files (Data > Data Files > Sections).
The default Sections delivered with the data set is based on users/estimators. In Takeoff, this allows each estimator using an Estimate to have his own Section, without conflicting with another estimator in the same Estimate.
