The data set Bid Templates are your master Bid Templates. These should be set-up as your standard Bid Templates. These are accessed by selecting Data > Data File Maintenance > Bid Template. The “Open Bid Template” window will display.
Note: You can manipulate the Bid Templates in this display by highlighting the template description then clicking once with the secondary mouse button (right button for right-handed users; left button for left-handed users). This displays an editing menu of four choices: Copy, Paste, Delete, and Rename.
RENAME: Use this selection to give a Bid Template a new name.
COPY: This selection, used with Paste, is useful if you like the way a Bid Template is set-up, want to preserve it, but also want to create a similar Bid Template with modifications. Select the Bid Template you want to copy, use the secondary mouse button to display the menu, select Copy.
PASTE: After using the Copy function, select the position to which you want the copied Bid Template placed, use the secondary mouse button to display the menu, select Paste. You can then use the Rename selection to give the copied Bid Template a new name, then select it and modify its components.
DELETE: This option will delete the selected Bid Template.
To access the master Bid Templates, select Data Set Template. Select the Primary or Alternate template with which you want to work.
The Bid Template you selected displays.
