Price Update Procedure

Note: These instructions use the Mechanical estimating program as an example. The basic instructions are the same for all other estimating programs with the Price Update feature.

Although, the Material and Labor pricing information are both accessed by the Price Update function, you may only run one process at a time (either Material OR Labor). Only input your selections for either Material or for Labor and then click OK to run the update. Then, open the Price Update function again to run for the other.

The Price Update feature is used to update pricing information for materials and labor.

When “View Log Files” is checked, three logs display in separate windows: success.log (items that were updated), not found.log (items that were not found), and error.log (any errors that were found). Each item is listed with a comment. These logs may be printed so you have a written record of what changed in this update.

  9. When you have finished reviewing the logs, close them, and return to the Price Update window.

Note: Performing a price update will cause a read lock on the selected datasets during the Update and/or Link Refresh operations.
