Importing Harrison Items into Specials

The following procedure is for importing new Item information received via the Harrison 2010 Integration tool directly into your Specials. To update your existing Items with Harrison 2010 price updates, refer to the Price Update Procedure.

1. Open either your Estimate Specials File or Data Specials File, see Accessing Specials for more information.

2. Right-click on your list of Specials Items and select Import From Harrison.

3. Select a Price Update File that you have received using the Harrison 2010 Integration tool.  
   
   
    

4. Click Open.  The Import Items from Harrison Price Update File window will display.  This window allows you to choose which Items you wish to insert to Specials.  The Items are organized by Item Code.
   
   
    

5. Select the Item data you wish to import into Specials.  Expanding an Item Code using the + button will allow you to view and select individual records.
   
   
    

6. Click OK and the Select Location for New Special window will appear.  This window lets you choose into which Specials slot you would like to copy the imported Items.
   
   

7. Choose Select location and use the drop-down menu to select the Specials slot in which you want the imported Item to be copied.  Otherwise, select First available slot to have your Items automatically assigned.

Note:  If the Do not show this dialog again option is selected, the program will use the selected options for all records selected.  Otherwise, the Select Location for New Special window will open for each Item being imported.

8. Click OK; your selected Items will be imported into Specials.

Note:  Be aware that you are limited to 500 Special Items slots.  The program will only import Item records if there are Specials slots available.
