All Digital Takeoff jobs have two parts: The Estimating item takeoff and the Digital Takeoff data which includes your Sheets, Annotations, Scale, etc. While you can save the Estimating item through Estimating's Save Job function, the data used on the Digital Takeoff side must be saved using a different method.
The Digital Takeoff Archive Tool (DTAT) gives you the ability to backup or archive your Digital Takeoff (DT) job data. This will make a copy of the Job’s Sheets, Annotations, and other information as well as retain the information needed to link to Standard Takeoff.
Ways you can use the DTAT:
• Backup a job’s Digital Takeoff Sheets, Annotations, and item link information in case of data loss.
• Archive old Digital Takeoff jobs, thus freeing your job list of unnecessary clutter.
• Transport a Digital Takeoff job to a home workstation or other location.
