Using the Grids

A grid shows the detailed information in a selected side bar function. Using Job Manager as an example, when the Active Jobs function is selected, in the side bar, the grid displays in the main window. It shows a series of headings (Job Name, Customer, Notes, etc.) with a series of lines of data (called "records") underneath. This combination of headings and records is called the grid.

The information available in a grid varies from plug-in to plug-in. This chapter will address using the grid generically. Although screen examples will show a specific grid, all procedures and techniques described herein apply equally to any plug-in.

There are many ways you can modify the grid to meet your needs. These include using the Grid Column menu and manipulating the columns.
