Automatic Wildcards: When Automatic Wildcards is enabled (marked), when you perform searches in the Databook, the program will assume a percent sign (%) wildcard both before and after the search word. The percent sign wildcard can represent any group of characters.
For example, if you would enter "Pushbutton" for an Item Name search (with Automatic Wildcards enabled), the program would assume "%Pushbutton%", meaning it would find all items that contain the word "Pushbutton" such as "Trn 829B Black Pushbutton Carded". If Automatic Wildcards is not enabled when doing this same search, the program would not find the item because it would look for an item containing only the word "Pushbutton,” with no characters before or after it. You can always enter the percent sign wildcard in search fields yourself, without enabling Automatic Wildcards.
Warning before long searches: When using the Search & Sort function in Databook, the program normally displays a prompt such as “This operation may take several minutes. Continue?” If you do not want this prompt to display, unmark this option.
DECIMAL PLACES DISPLAY: Here, you can set the number of decimal places that display for Price Each (unit price), Price Extended, and Quantity. This affects grids in Databook as well as in Materials Management (Requisitions, Purchase Orders, and Purchase History).
Note: Additionally, zero quantities will display as a blank cell and quantities over 1,000 will display with commas.
