Search by UPC

Select the UPC tab. UPC searches are controlled using the six input fields: UPC, Vendor Code, Buyer Code, and three Item Name fields.

The Fast Search and Search & Sort functions (see Searching for Items) are performed based on what is shown in the input fields. The explanations of the input fields and the examples given will help you determine how you want to conduct searches.

UPC, Vendor Code, Buyer Code: Enter a complete or partial (using wildcards) code.

Item Name: The item name fields can be used together or singly. These work the same as described inSearch by Manufacturer.

All input fields containing entries: When every search input field contains an entry, the program will search for items that meet all of the criteria.

Refer to Searching Using Wildcards for how to perform searches using wildcards.

Note: If a search is not performing as you expected, check the status of the “Automatic Wildcards” option (see Settings).
