Tax Profile names are simply headings or labels for the actual tax or group of taxes.
1. Select the Tax Profile tab.
2. Select . to access the New Tax Profile window.
The New Tax Profile window consists of just two fields:
CODE: The code is a way of further identifying the Tax Profile, in addition to the descriptive name. This could be a state abbreviation, city name, or zip/postal code, for examples, depending on how specific your tax information needs to be.
NAME: Descriptive name for the Tax Profile, such as the federal, state, country, or local taxing area name.
3. Select OK to add the new Tax Profile. If you select Cancel the new profile is not created.
Note: Once a Tax Profile has been created, the Code and Name fields can be edited from the grid. The Material, Labor, and Freight columns cannot be edited. These are accumulations of the rates shown in the Tax Profile details.
