Select Summaries Functions
The Select Summary functions are described below.
Apply
Subtotal Adjustments in Bid Summary: When this
option is checked, the selected bid will apply Subtotal Adjustments. If
it is unchecked, the Subtotal Adjustments will be ignored.
Notes:
-
The Apply Subtotal… option
is only available when subtotal adjustments have not already
been applied in the Summary. If this is the case,
then the Apply Subtotal…
option will appear grayed out. When creating a new bid, the
Summaries window will also give you the following message
when the highlight Summary has subtotals adjustments already
applied.
-
Including Subtotal Adjustments
in a Summary can be toggled while creating a new Summary. After
pressing New in
the Open Summary window, select the Level Adjustment tab and
de-select the Subtotal option. This activates the
Apply Subtotal… option when highlighting a Bid Summary using
that particular Summary file.
-
If you create a summary
that contains “net price” items and choose to Apply
Subtotal Adjustments in Bid Summary, you get a message
stating, "This summary contains "net price"
items. Applying Subtotal Adjustments to these items may result
in incorrect prices. Are you sure you wish to continue?"
|
This function
is only available once a bid exists. Use this function to re-select a
Summary (or Summaries) in an existing bid. The bid will be recalculated
using the numbers from the new summaries, but entries you made in the
Bid Components will be untouched (e.g., phases, rates, quotes). You can
then reconstruct the bid as if it were a new bid. Select the Summaries
you want to include, then select this function. The program recalculates
the bid, then goes directly to the Bid Components view of the bid.
Returns the
program to the Summary window.
